Well, not a whole lot has transpired since I last posted a blog.
Cassius is still around 27 pounds. All his running around keeps him from getting a big gut. He is healthy and thriving. And... despite him wanting to eat EVERYTHING, we're keeping an eye on what he consumes. We don't want him to have to adapt to our bad eating habits. As a result, we, as a family, have been eating out less and cooking at home more.
Its been a wonder! I can't imagine life without Trader Joe's and their wonderful meals for two (and a baby). I'm not sure where the misconception of organic/healthy food costing more but I've found that we're actually saving money by shopping at Trader Joe's and thinking out our meals in advance. I digress....
Well, you know what they say... Like father like son. (Our little boy is a brain child. I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom). He is catching on to his Italian with the help of his sitter, Josephine (who is from Italy). And he understands instructions. Its just a matter of time before he starts speaking to us in full sentences :)
In other news, I can't tell you how much we love being in the new home. We're spending more time outdoors as is evident in Cassius playing in, what other kids describe, our playground.
