My favorite contact sports moment this year has been hands down Raja Bell's clothesline of Kobe until Sunday. I now have mixed emotions. When I saw Zinedine Zizou try to freaking ram his head through that Italian dude's sternum like a damn Bighorn Sheep I froze in awe. Never in my life have I seen anything like that. One word, awesome. (video below):
Now, the Raja clothesline was badass and it had more personal significance for me because I cannot stand Kobe. But that head ram thing was priceless. Especially since a few minutes earlier I watched him head butt the soccer ball like a rocket toward the goal. Obviously I watch a lot of soccer. Much of his power is certainly derived from that dome. So, which takedown was better? I don't know but if we can get Raja to do a Bighorn Sheep ram through Kobe's chest, he would be the undisputed champion of the world. Has anyone seen that new PR stunt where Kobe tries to improve his image through an autistic boy? What a leech.
