I started a low card diet a month ago, and now i am amending it to gluten free as well.  for the last 8-10 months i have had intermittent stomach problems: nausea, cramps, sudden diarrhia, appetite loss...in the past 2-3 weeks i have felt better than i have in a long time.  my symptoms all but disappeared, until i cheated last thursday, saturday, and today...the main carb in each meal? wheat!  my brother was recently diagnosed with celiac's disease (inherited auto-immune disorder caused by gluten intolerance) and my mom has the same symptoms i do, she has for years.  doctors always said it was ibs.  well guess what?  ibs a symptom of gluten intolerance/ sensitivity....so good-by forever to a lot of my favorite foods--pasta, bread, cereal, cookies, cake. anything breaded and deep fried...
