Tonight I finished Wiltons cake decorating Course 1. I got a certificate of graduation, it is in my car. When the teacher was handing them out I was locked outside of Michaels because I took two things to the car and left the purse and cake in the classroom. The frickin people woudn't let me back in. Then my teacher saw me and told someone to let me in. That was really sad missing my graduation. hehe .
My cake base frosting was really too moist. I had it best the first time actually. The consistency of the frosting is really droopy and falling down the sides of the cake like it was almost melting. It folds towards the bottom. But I made it thin so that I didn't have any crumbs but it was too thin. !!
I made some roses and ate a lot of kisses that turned out bad. We had to change the consistency lot too to figure out what works best for me. more water then more powdered sugar. Repeat. Pictures tomorrow.
I went to my 3rd cake class. We piped figures and learned how to do shells which I sucked at. Also, we learned how to do some flowers with the flower tip.
