Understaffed
I work at Charelstons in Mesa I serve tables and bartend. It can be really fun and really stressful sometimes. Our staff is made up of people 16  and older. The bulk of the serving staff are in their 20's and maybe a few in the thirties. Lately a lot of people have moved, graduated or partied too hard and got fired. We have only somewhere around 20 servers when we should have 40-50 to be comfortable.

What irritates me is that we have not hired nearly enough new people. So  I asked my manager "how many servers do we have on staff?" and they said "why" , and said, "because we are understaffed."  I was being understanding and not a jackass about the question. I just realized that the management has not done really anything to recruit people. So she said that they put an ad in the paper. But I talked to another server and she said she looks in the ad and hasn't seen anything from our restarant in there. I think that the management is full of crap and they haven't done anything. So I told them they should make some fliers and have us employees post them up at school. Everyone who works at chucks has a full schedule so that means when they aren't at work they are at school or another job, think about it out of around 20 servers there are 14 shifts per week, each lunch shift calls for around 13 servers and night calls for 15-20 depending on the night, that doesn't leave much leeway. Charelston's management sucks at this crap.

Costa Rica Trip
So, I applied for a summer school study abroad program through Scottsdale Community College and I got in! I know there was eight other people that did not get to go and I was afraid that I was going to be one of them.

Anyways, the program is from May 26th through June 16th. I am going to be in San Jose, Costa Rica. (rich coast!)  I get four credits for taking Spanish 201 abroad and then I will move on to 202 next semester. So, I and another student will be staying with a host family but I know nothing about them yet. I am going to have to learn a whole lot of new vocabulary for the trip because the dialect and slang will be different. I am not really worried about only speaking Spanish because I try and practice everyday at work. Most people ask me if I can even carry a conversation (like I can't) but I can. It's fun stuff. I hope that i get set up with another cool student that is my age. I think that I might get set up with someone that is really quiet or shy or not used to being in a unfamiliar territory. I don't know though.

I wonder what it is going to be like! I probably will miss the food here or the freedom to do as I please the most. I view it as a time to study and focus on Spanish so that should work.

We will be going to the Volcano Arenal It is a live volcano here are a few pictures, there are also hot springs that we can go relax in.

I also want to do a canopy tour like this...

We also will be visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park and Beach

Anyways, this should be really cool!

River blues

Today I went tubing with Nicole, Kiera, Lauren, and Josh from work. We went from point 1-4. I am just chillin at home trying to re-cooperate from the sun, alcohol and the heat. I am pretty sunburnt even though I put on sunblock, o well its just my pasty white complexion coming in to play. Blah I am never drinking again either.!
I went to walgreens one hour photo and developed my one time use camera, It turns out there were pictures from New Years Eve, Amy's birthday, (early may I think) and from last night at Jimmy and Celestes. There were some good pictures in there!. =) I might scan them if I can figure it out.
I miss my boyfriend Justin. Justin has been in and out of town since the 4th of July. He is working at Schwarzkopf, which is a hair company that originated in Germany.  Justin says, "its the vidal sasoon of Europe."  I saw Justin thursday night and he left early saturday morning. Right now Justin is in San Jose Cabo San Lucas. Why? Because his parents bought a condo there right on the beach! Its really cool. I saw some video and pictures. It is two bedroom and is across the street from the beach. It also has two balconys and has a view of the beach as far as you can see. I am going to go there between x-mas and new years.
