I know there was eight other people that did not get to go and I was afraid that I was going to be one of them.      Anyways, the program is from May 26th through June 16th. I am going to be in San Jose, Costa Rica. (rich coast!)  I get four credits for taking Spanish 201 abroad and then I will move on to 202 next semester. So, I and another student will be staying with a host family but I know nothing about them yet. I am going to have to learn a whole lot of new vocabulary for the trip because the dialect and slang will be different. I am not really worried about only speaking Spanish because I try and practice everyday at work. Most people ask me if I can even carry a conversation (like I can't) but I can. It's fun stuff. I hope that i get set up with another cool student that is my age. I think that I might get set up with someone that is really quiet or shy or not used to being in a unfamiliar territory. I don't know though.      I wonder what it is going to be like! I probably will miss the food here or the freedom to do as I please the most. I view it as a time to study and focus on Spanish so that should work. We will be going to the Volcano Arenal It is a live volcano here are a few pictures, there are also hot springs that we can go relax in. I also want to do a canopy tour like this... We also will be visiting the Manuel Antonio National Park and Beach Anyways, this should be really cool!
