Saturday was Cassius' first little kids birthday party. He got all dressed up in his pary best and went to see Logan to help him celebrate his 5th birthday.
The party was very exciting for Cassius. He got to see a lot of good people like family and friends. Cassius got used to being around everyone about an hour into the party. He became sure of himself and began to enjoy the company of those around him.
Cassius is wondering when the cake is coming out (just kidding)... He is sitting with Grandma Greene and Kaylyn (I may have spelled her name incorrectly :-( )
Not very long afterward, Logan got to open his presents. He got a lot of really cool stuff. He enjoys dragons a great deal, so he received a number of really cool dragon items... like dragon eggs, which Cassius brought.. and dragon t-shirts from Grandma. Logan got other cool things like a swimming pool fishing set from Lisa, Peter, and Brittany. Mary bought Logan a cool set of scary animals--well, not very scary for a 5 year old. Logan is opening up a gift here.
After all the gifts are opened, its time for cake. Look how delicious it looks!!
Logan does the honors of blowing out candles. He does a pretty good job!
So, call me a "bad" parent for doing so.. but, I've taken the liberty of giving Cassius his first foods as of last week. So far, he's had peas and bananas. He enjoys the food and it didn't give his stomach a hard time.. he digested the jars of food just fine.
I've read a number of articles stating that it is ok to give baby their first food when they can hold their head up unassisted, show interest in food, double their birth weight, and have lost their tongue thrust reflex. He checked out ok on all.
A couple days later, we try the bananas.
The hungry, hungry Cassius.
So hungry... here is proof!
(if you can not view this video in IE, try firefox)
Cassius and I enjoyed some R and R in bed last night. We played with the camera before going to sleep. Cassius is not a fan of the flash on the camera.
And, apparently, he is upset with me for doing so... (hehehe)
Although, he sure seems to know when the video is "rolling" as he is sure to ham it up.
If you didn't already notice, I created a You Tube account to upload videos. Unfortunately, the videos feature on this site only seems to work with Firefox.. hence, the reason why you can't view on IE.
Anyway, I uploaded one of my favorite videos of Cassius when he was a month old. The outfit he is wearing is one of my favorites.. Sadly, he does not fit in it anymore.
Last night, auntie Hillary stopped by for a visit. Cassius hadn't seen Hillary in a long while and was sure to be extra cute. Here he is trying to show of his copy-cat skills. He's trying to click his lip with his tongue. Below are the attempts to copy daddy.
